This is an honest note on whether you can stay with children at Mori no Auberge Mitsu, in the town of Atsuma, Hokkaido. It is written for those it suits and those it does not, to read before you book.
Mori no Auberge Mitsu is a small auberge that takes three groups a night, in three rooms named Ki, Mi and Tsuki. It is a quiet house.

No television, and three groups a night
If you are thinking of coming with children, there are a few things to know first. Mori no Auberge Mitsu takes only three groups a night, in three rooms, and it is a quiet house.
There is no television in the rooms. Wi-Fi is available in every room, but if you rely on a television to keep children occupied, this is worth knowing in advance.
There is no hot spring and no shared bathhouse either. Each room has its own goemon-style soaking tub in Shigaraki ceramic ware; it is not a natural hot spring but heated water. You can see who the house does not suit on Reviews.
How children are charged, by age
Children are charged by age, in three bands. Children of preschool age, from 0 to 6, stay free; bedding and meals are not included.
Children aged 7 to 9 are charged 50% of the adult rate, and children aged 10 to 12 the same as an adult. The guide price for an adult is from about 28,000 yen per person with dinner and breakfast, based on two people sharing a room, and it changes with the room and the season. The size of the rooms, and the bath in each
There are three rooms. Ki is 45.54 square metres, Mi is 42.96 square metres, and Tsuki is 65.56 square metres; Tsuki is the largest of the three.

Dinner, breakfast and allergies
Dinner is an omakase kaiseki course that follows the Hokkaido season. Breakfast is served too, except on room-only plans.
If you tell us in advance, the omakase kaiseki course can be discussed around ingredients you cannot eat or are allergic to. When you come with children, please let us know when you book.
Note that children of preschool age, from 0 to 6, are in the band with no bedding or meals. Please confirm how many meals you need when you book.
About 30 minutes by car, no shuttle
Please come by car. It is about 30 minutes from New Chitose Airport, and about 15 minutes from the Atsuma interchange on the Hidaka Expressway. There is no shuttle service, so it helps to arrange a rental car.
There is parking for 10 cars, free for guests and with no reservation needed, and there is no valet service. Payment is cashless only: credit cards, electronic money and QR code payments are accepted, and cash is not.
Check-in is from 15:00 to 19:00, and check-out is at 10:00. Please plan your arrival with children within these hours. Pets cannot stay.
