The beams, the carved transoms, the way old and new sit together. The house is 120 years old, moved here from Toyama in the early Meiji period and restored as an inn.

Not for you if you want a hot spring or a shuttle
If the house will not suit you, it is better said now.
The bath is not a natural hot spring. It is a goemon-style soaking tub in Shigaraki ware, filled with heated water, inside each guest room. There is no large communal bath either. If a hot spring is why you choose an inn, this is not it.
There are no televisions in the rooms. If there is something you want to watch in the evening, the night will feel empty.
There is no shuttle. The house is about 30 minutes by car from New Chitose Airport, and arriving by car is assumed. We are also unable to take pets.
On the food, some guests write that there is a lot of it. Dinner is a Japanese creative omakase course with many small dishes. We take requests about the meal in advance, so please tell us when you book.
