This is a note on driving from New Chitose Airport to Mori no Auberge Mitsu, a small inn in Atsuma, Hokkaido. It follows the day you arrive, from picking up a rental car to reaching the house.
There is no shuttle to Auberge Mitsu. So on the day you arrive, you rent a car at the airport and drive yourself, as most guests do.

Mori no Auberge Mitsu is about 30 minutes by car from New Chitose Airport. It is a short hop after your flight, so there is no need to rush.

When you arrive, in front of you is a 120-year-old farmhouse. Built in the traditional style of Toyama, it was taken down and raised again here.
Its thick central pillar and beams are joined without metal fittings, and the inn takes only three groups a night, so it stays quiet.
